The Portland Trailblazers proudly announce the 2008-2009 Blazers Stunt Team

We are proud to present the 2008-2009 Blazers Stunt Team – They will be in the crowd and on the floor at every home game this season so make sure you say hello when you see them in the Rose Garden because they love to interact with the crowd! The Blazers Stunt Team is a vital part of the entertainment and atmosphere that occurs at every Trail Blazers home game. Whether they are tossing female members of the team 30+ feet up in the air, assisting with on-court contests, delivering free Pizza, shooting out T-shirts or rallying the crowd with cheerstix, the Blazers Stunt Team is always right in the middle of all the action so it was important to find the very best to make up the 2008-2009 squad. Whether they’re flying 30ft above the court, or pumping up the crowd, The Bowflex Stunt Team is an integral part of every Trail Blazers home game. The team is one the best in the business, and they’ve got the credentials to prove it.

At the 2003 United Spirit Association Nationals, members of the Trail Blazers Bowflex Stunt Team swept the top three spots in the Open Team Partner Stunts category.

In addition, a squad comprised mostly of Blazers Bowflex Stunt Team members took National Championship honors at the 2003 USA National Cheer Championships in Las Vegas.

During the summer of 2004, the Stunt Team was invited to perform on live TV in Hong Kong for the opening ceremony of the Greece Olympics.

Coached by Linus Oey, the squad consists of eight men and eight women, all of whom have college cheering and stunting experience.
