The Portland Trail Blazers, in conjunction with the scheduled jersey retirement ceremonies for Terry Porter and Bobby Gross this December, will host a public celebration and VIP reception on December 17 at the Rose Garden.
Tickets are only $10 for the 7:30 p.m. celebration, which will honor, roast and recognize the two honored guests among a ‘who’s who’ of Trail Blazers players, coaches and personalities from throughout the organization’s 39-year history in Portland. A VIP reception for Trail Blazers luminaries, on the Lexus Club Level at 6:00 p.m., will precede the public celebration. Hard-core BlazerManiacs who want to i rub elbows with Blazers greats of past and present can purchase tickets to the private reception for $100. The cost includes light snacks, drinks and VIP seating for the celebration. Any net proceeds from the celebration will benefit the Kevin Duckworth Scholarship Fund. read more
The Portland Trail Blazers (8-5) look to continue a hot streak in a game against the Phoenix Suns (8-5) Saturday night at US Airways Center. The Trail Blazers have lost eight-straight in Phoenix and have only defeated the Suns twice in the last 16 meetings. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Pacific.
Portland is coming off an impressive 21-point road victory against the Sacramento Kings, upping their record to 3-2 in back-to-back games this season.
