2012-13 Luvabulls: Meet Candice
What does being a member of the Luvabulls mean to you?
Becoming a member of the Luvabulls means a lot to me. With being able to showcase my talents as a dancer as well as be on a team with beautiful successful women, it makes me feel like my future is headed in the right direction and I could not have been happier.
How has your dancing experience led you to this point?
Since I was a little girl I had been taking dance classes and participating in major dances competitions. We had to go through many auditioning processes and those experiences has helped prepare me mentally and physically when going for something I want.
What is your claim to fame—besides being a Luvabull?
Besides being a Luvabull, my claim to fame would have to be perfecting my talents as a dancer and putting my best foot forward in whatever it is I want to take on in the future.
What do you do for a living?
Everyday I work closely with people to ensure that everything they need or want is given to them in a timely manner with the lowest possible prices. I also work closely with children to educate them on life skills and performing arts.
Describe the feeling of hearing your number called at tryouts as you made the Luvabulls.
When I realized my number had been called I was beyond ecstatic. I was speechless and didn’t know whether to cry, laugh, or scream. To know that all my hard work had paid off was an amazing feeling and no words can really explain that.
What people do you admire the most and how have they supported or inspired you as a dancer?
The person that I admire the most is my mother. She enrolled me into dance classes at a young age and since that day she has never missed a recital and is my number one fan.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date and where do you see yourself in 10 years?
My proudest accomplishment to date would have to be becoming a role model for young people. In 10 years I would hope that after I have danced professionally in a major dance company; I would be able to open up a Recreational Center to help people in the community.
