Bulls unveil 2013 video holiday card
65-second video features cutting-edge filmmaking technology and innovative live event production
December 16, 2013 -- Today, the Chicago Bulls released “A Chicago Bulls Holiday Moment,” the team’s 2013 video holiday card, produced by the Emmy Award-winning BullsTV team. The video card has become an annual tradition to send season’s greetings to the team’s fans.
The 2013 holiday card features 33 Bulls performers from the Bulls Entertainment Network, including the Luvabulls, Benny the Bull, Incredibulls, Benny and the Elevators, BullsKidz, DJ Flipside, and DJ Marquee. Shot on the United Center floor, the card was filmed in one continuous 65-second take, requiring seven hours of rehearsals and 10 attempts. It is scored to a remix of “The Nutcracker,” produced by Bulls musical coordinators.
The holiday card provided BullsTV with the opportunity to explore and implement new production technologies. They used the months-old MōVI M10 system to showcase the large area of United Center floor required to film the visual spectacle. The card was directed, produced, choreographed and edited in-house.
“A Chicago Bulls Holiday Moment” is a preview of the Chicago Bulls Holiday Halftime Show, which will feature performers from the Bulls Entertainment Network during the Bulls game vs. Cleveland Cavaliers on December 21.
