Chicago Bulls join NBA and partners to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts
October 31, 2012 – The Chicago Bulls announced today that it is joining with the NBA and other teams across the league to encourage fans to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
At Saturday’s home game, the team will run scoreboard messages and public address announcements to encourage fans to consider supporting the American Red Cross by visiting www.redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or giving a $10 donation by texting "REDCROSS" to 90999. Additionally, the team will provide fans with donation information on Bulls.com and via Facebook and Twitter. Chicago Bulls Charities, the team’s philanthropic arm, will also be making a donation to the American Red Cross.
Volunteers from the American Red Cross will also be on hand at the United Center on Saturday to provide information about Hurricane Sandy relief efforts and to accept donations. Their table will be located outside section 107 on the 100 level concourse.
United Airlines, the Official Airline of the Chicago Bulls, is also supporting the relief efforts. The United Airlines Foundation will be matching donations from United customers and co-workers to their partners American Red Cross, AmeriCares and Feeding America. In addition, United is also offering MileagePlus bonus award miles for cash donations to their partners.
