TREVISO, Italy, June 30 -- Six NBA players took a break from their coaching duties at the third annual Basketball Without Borders camp to comment on the experience.

Since its inception in 2001, Basketball Without Borders has served as a summer camp for young people designed to promote friendship, goodwill and education through sport.

Kirilenko
ANDREI KIRILENKO, Utah Jazz

"I'm very pleased to be able to take part in Basketball Without Borders. It's really important that we keep doing this kind of event to promote basketball as a sport but also as a powerful way to help people all around the world. We have a very good time with these kids and if we can help them to understand that if you believe in what you do, you can reach your dreams."

Parker
TONY PARKER, San Antonio Spurs

"Basketball Without Borders is a great opportunity for us to meet kids coming from so many different European countries. I believe that when you become a NBA player, you must give a part of your time for young players like all these kids around us right now. I really think that we can help them to become better and make them realize that everything is possible if you work hard and respect the rules."

Gasol
PAU GASOL, Memphis Grizzlies

"What a wonderful experience. It's amazing how these kids are ready to listen to us and follow our instructions during the camp. I think we have a big role to play. For them, this camp is the perfect opportunity to show what they know but also to learn from us and the coaches. Who knows ... perhaps tomorrow one or many of these kids will join the NBA family and will have the chance to live their dreams."

Jaric
MARKO JARIC, Los Angeles Clippers

"You know, when we were younger, it was important for us to get some [role] models. You always try to follow the steps of someone you want to look like. Today, I'm here, in Treviso, to spend time with these young players. I will show them what is important to become a good person on and off the basketball court."

Nachbar
BOSTJAN NACHBAR, Houston Rockets

"I'm very pleased to be back in Treviso where I played for two seasons. All of the kids are here to show that basketball is a unique language and wherever you're from, you can become friends with everybody thanks to this sport. I hope these kids will learn a lot from us."

Tskitishvili
NIKOLOZ TSKITISHVILI, Denver Nuggets

"Thanks of the NBA, FIBA and UNICEF, we have the chance to meet these young players who are ready to make all the efforts needed to become one day a professional player. Our role is to show them the way. We have a very good time and these kids are really nice. If I was younger, I would love to be one of them. They are working with some of the best coaches in Europe and have the chance to spend time with players from other countries. I hope they will keep in mind that basketball is everywhere."
