Grizzlies to host Eighth Annual Tip-Off Luncheon October 24

MEMPHIS, September 16, 2008 — The Memphis Grizzlies along with hosts Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Memphis Regional Chamber, the Mid-South Minority Business Council and the Center City Commission are inviting fans across the Mid-South over for lunch, as the team is set to hold their Eighth Annual Tip-Off Luncheon presented by First Tennessee Bank on October 24 at FedExForum.

Fans in attendance will get the first chance to rub shoulders with Grizzlies rookies O.J. Mayo and Darrell Arthur, hang out with Rudy Gay and Mike Conley, get coaching strategy from Marc Iavaroni and learn more about the business of basketball from general manager Chris Wallace. Take part in the silent and live auctions held throughout the event featuring unique memorabilia and one-of-a-kind fan experiences, or simply spend your time getting to know the members of the 2008-09 Memphis Grizzlies team. Doors open at 11 a.m., followed by the event and program from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Individual tickets are $50, and tables of 10 are $400. For $2000, fans can purchase a table that will allow you to sit with a Grizzlies player, coach and/or executive. Pre-registration is required and all proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Memphis.
