Derrick Favors / Bone Contusion
SALT LAKE CITY (November 16, 2016) – The following is a medical update on Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors:
Derrick Favors was examined Wednesday and underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) testing, which confirmed a bone contusion on his left knee. He will continue to receive treatment, and in order to allow the injury proper time to heal, will not play Thursday vs. Chicago and his status will continue to be reevaluated moving forward. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
Alec Burks / Left Ankle
SALT LAKE CITY (November 1, 2016) – The following is a medical update on Utah Jazz guard Alec Burks:
Following multiple medical consultations, Burks underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure Tuesday to debride his left ankle. The procedure was performed in New York City by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Martin O’Malley.
Burks will return to Salt Lake City to begin his rehabilitation and will remain out indefinitely. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
