Danté Exum / Left Shoulder
SALT LAKE CITY (October 24, 2017) – The following is a medical update on Utah Jazz guard Danté Exum:
Exum underwent a successful procedure Tuesday morning to stabilize the AC joint in his left shoulder. The procedure was performed in Los Angeles by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. Exum will return to Salt Lake City to begin his rehabilitation and will remain out indefinitely. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
The Australian appeared in 66 games (26 starts) last season for Utah, averaging a career-high 6.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18.6 minutes per contest. Additionally, the 22-year-old saw action in seven 2017 NBA Playoff games, owning averages of 4.6 points and 1.3 assists in 12.0 minutes per game.
Thabo Sefolosha / Right Knee - MCL
SALT LAKE CITY (January 17, 2018) – The following is a medical update on Utah Jazz forward Thabo Sefolosha:
Sefolosha (6-7, 220, Switzerland) underwent successful right knee surgery to repair an avulsion of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) which he suffered against Charlotte on Jan. 12. The procedure was performed by Jazz head orthopaedic team physician Dr. Travis Maak in Salt Lake City this morning. Sefolosha will continue to rehab in Salt Lake City and will be out indefinitely.
In his 12th NBA season, Sefolosha owns averages of 8.2 points, his highest scoring average since 2008-09, on 49.2 percent from the field, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 38 games (six starts) for the Jazz on the year.
