"The fans are having a lot of fun and we're enjoying it," Kings forward Ron Artest said smiling. "We don't have a chance to be this close to the fans every day because when we play in here we have to take care of business, but today was a more personal day and a lot of fun."
Every player had a station specific to their interests. Among them, Artest serenaded the packed Cantina bar/lounge with karaoke as young fans and the Sacramento Kings Dance Team joined him on stage.
"That was fun," Artest said as his smile grew. "They got to see me add a little humor to a hobby I enjoy doing which is music. I was just trying to have some fun with it."
Artest's biggest fans were thrilled to not only see their favorite player sing, but also interact with him.
"We love him, we are the biggest fans, ever, of him," Mother Catilina said as her young daughter Ana added. "Whoo hoo, Ron Artest!"

"This is my game. We're playing NBA 2K8 and I'm playing with this little guy here, Wyatt," Douby said grinning with controller in hand. "I'm playing as the Suns and he's got the Rockets, so it's a fun game."
As diverse as the fan base that roots so passionately for them, the Kings players' interests vary greatly.
While Douby enjoyed something that can be enjoyed in the house, Brad Miller's love for adventure and the outdoors brought his station outside of ARCO Arena.
Seemingly in Miller's back yard, country music played as Miller and fans gave their best shot at riding a mechanical bull. Mikki Moore's love of reptiles was brought to the forefront as he and curious fans had a chance to see Moore's favorite lizards and snakes up-close.
Known for his European style, Beno Udrih hung out in the team store where fans had a chance to pick up the latest Kings apparel and get their picture taken with the strong sartorial sensed point guard.

Kings fans were ecstatic to see the players and coaches away from the hardwood.
"I'm having a good time, I think it's great to be able to see them off the court and see what their interests are outside of the game," long-time Kings fan Dayna Hanson said. "It gives families [an opportunity to] spend time together and interact without watching the game. And [it's great] to meet other Season Ticket Holders and see our favorite players.
"Kevin Martin is one of my favorites because I saw him once and he was very pleasant even though he wasn't on the Kings clock. He's a joy to watch. [The Warriors] game was just awesome."
Speaking of Martin, he was a lot of fans' favorite. While every other player had a specific theme for their section, Martin's area was just a couch and a table, possibly alluding to his joy of relaxing and watching game footage in his spare time. Fortunately for his faithful fans, it was set up for the Kings leading scorer to sign autographs.

With the arena packed and fans bustling about dressed in Kings apparel, it was clear that the fans weren't just happy about interacting with their favorite team. They are happy with the direction of the team too.
"I'm really enjoying them playing together," Hanson said. "When they win it's great, but the chemistry out there just really seems to be clicking and it's just exciting to watch."
The Kings court was removed for the event to create space for two giant stages. One stage had a live band and dancers, setting the tone for the upbeat event. The other stage hosted interviews with players and Q&A sessions with Kings co-owners Joe and Gavin Maloof as well as Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie. And, of course, the Kings lovable mascot Slamson was up to his usual antics, making people laugh and taking pictures with the youngest fans.
