Worthy to Represent Lakers at Lottery
Hall of Famer James Worthy will represent the Lakers at the 2014 NBA Draft Lottery.
Selected by the Lakers with the first overall pick in the 1982, Worthy went on to play 12 seasons in Los Angeles, winning titles in 1985, 1987 and 1988. He was named Most Valuable Player of the 1988 Finals while averaging 22 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists against the Detroit Pistons and earning the nickname "Big Game James."
Worthy was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history during the league’s 50th anniversary season in 1996-97 and enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
Currently, Worthy serves as a studio analyst on Lakers games for Time Warner Cable SportsNet.
The 2014 NBA Draft Lottery will be held Tuesday, May 20th at Times Square Studios in New York City.
