AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced today that its 2017-18 local television schedule will include 81 of the team’s regular-season games being televised by FOX Sports Detroit and FOX Sports Detroit Plus. Including one TNT broadcast as part of the NBA’s national television schedule, all 82 of the club’s regular-season games will be available on television.

FOX Sports Detroit, beginning its 21st season of broadcasting Pistons games, is the exclusive local television provider for Detroit Basketball. The network will televise 81 regular-season games beginning with the home opener at Little Caesars Arena on October 18 against Charlotte. All Pistons games this season on FOX Sports Detroit and FOX Sports Plus will be televised in high-definition.

“We’re pleased to begin our 21st season of continued partnership with FOX Sports Detroit,” said Charlie Metzger, Chief Revenue and Communications Officer for the Detroit Pistons. “With 81 regular-season games on the local schedule, FOX Sports Detroit’s award winning broadcast production will once again deliver the most complete coverage of Detroit Basketball both on and off the court.”

Highlights of the regular-season broadcast schedule include three games against LeBron James, Isaiah Thomas, Kevin Love and the Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers (November 20, January 28 and March 5), three matchups against Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward and the Eastern Conference finalist Boston Celtics (November 27, December 10 and February 23) and two meetings against the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors featuring Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Michigan-native Draymond Green (October 29 and December 8). Additional highlights of the regular-season include two meetings against all-star point guard Chris Paul, MVP runner-up James Harden and the Houston Rockets (January 6 and March 22) and two matchups against reigning NBA MVP Russell Westbrook, all-star forward Paul George and the Oklahoma City Thunder (November 24 and January 27).

“We can’t wait for Pistons basketball,” said Greg Hammaren, senior vice president/general manager, FOX Sports Detroit. “The Pistons coming back to Detroit is tremendous for fans both in the new Little Caesars arena and at home. Our EMMY-winning coverage of the Pistons is led by a pair of Michigan State Hall of Famers in George Blaha and Greg Kelser. Our entire production team is devoted to delivering Pistons fans some of the best coverage throughout the NBA.”

Nine Pistons games will air on FOX Sports Plus, occurring on nights when coinciding Detroit Red Wings games are slated for broadcast on FOX Sports Detroit. FOX Sports Detroit and FOX Sports Plus channel numbers by video provider can be found at www.foxsportsdetroit.com.

Accompanying the telecasts is PISTONS LIVE, providing exclusive and extensive pre- and post-game coverage originating from the Little Caesars Arena and the network’s high-definition studio.

FOX Sports Detroit’s coverage of the Pistons is available to 3.2 million cable and satellite households throughout Michigan and portions of Northwest Ohio.

Detroit Pistons preseason home games on October 4, 6 and 9 will be streamed live on www.pistons.com and www.foxsports.com/detroit.
