Appeared in 81 games (20 starts) and averaged 3.3 points, 4.1 rebounds (9th NBA rookies) and 0.70 blocks (9th among NBA Rookies) in 14.8 minutes.

2013-14:
Named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Oklahoma City went 11-9 during his 20 starts. On Jan. 29, named to the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge as part of All-Star Weekend. Registered a blocked shot in 37 games. Recorded first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Detroit (11/8). Made first career start at LA Clippers (11/13). Scored in double figures three times. Set a career-high with four blocks vs. Memphis (2/3). Set a career-high with six steals at Dallas (3/24). One DNP-CD.

PLAYOFFS:
During the 2014 postseason, appeared in 18 games and averaged 3.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 18.4 minutes. Ranks first all-time at Pitt in field goal percentage (.571), second in blocked shots (63), and sixth in rebounds for freshman seasons (192). Ranked first on team in rebounds (6.3 rpg) and blocks (2.0 bpg). Ranked fifth on team in scoring with 7.2 points per game. Scored in double figures on six occasions. Scored a career-high 16 points along with 10 rebounds against Bethune Cookman. Grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds along with eight points against Duquesne. Scored 13 points along with 11 rebounds in an NCAA Tournament game against Wichita State. Blocked a career-high five shots against South Florida.

PERSONAL:
First lottery pick and first-round pick to come out of New Zealand in NBA Draft history. Son of Sid Adams. One of 18 siblings, six of whom played basketball for New Zealand. All of his brothers stand around 6-10 to 6-11 and his sisters 6-5 to 6-6. His half-sister is a 2008 Olympic champion and three-time world champion in the shot put.
